The studio of Gwyn Carless at The Light Yard has unveiled an exquisite addition to their portfolio: the Prismatic Pendant Light & Wall Light Collection. Crafted with premium ribbed glass, this collection comprising three pendant sizes, a dome pendant, and complementary wall lights casts a radiant glow that elevates any interior space.

Each luminaire in the collection exudes timeless elegance, blending prismatic glass for striking visual texture with graceful contours that lend a refined, sophisticated charm.

Why Opt for Ribbed Glass?

Ribbed glass, often referred to as reeded glass, is a standout for its incredible adaptability. It fits just as comfortably in gritty industrial lofts or sleek modern homes as it does in cozy traditional spaces or whimsical cottagecore retreats.

Jeff Fuller, the founder and head of The Light Yard, offered some thoughts on the collection’s origins: “For the last five years, we’ve seen steady excitement for ribbed glass lighting from all corners—homeowners, boutique hotel owners, and interior designers. There’s something about its classic appeal that keeps it above the ebb and flow of passing fads. It’s one of those rare materials that works across so many design styles, which is why it remains such a go-to choice.”

Taking cues from their customers, Fuller and designer Gwyn Carless set out to give the Prismatic Collection a softer edge. “People were asking for something a bit warmer, more flowing,” Fuller noted.

“So we stretched out the reeded texture and added gentle curves. The result is a lineup that’s as versatile as it is beautiful, perfect for everything from bathrooms and kitchens to dining spaces and bedrooms. You can really make it your own, no matter the room.”

The Dome Pendant. This 30cm-diameter pendant commands attention, bringing bold elegance to any room. It shines especially in kitchen settings, though its remarkable flexibility makes it just as captivating in dining areas, home offices, or utility spaces.

Each pendant in the Prismatic Collection offers a choice between two sophisticated finishes antique bronze or brushed brass.

Paired with a sleek ceiling rose and fabric flex, the design achieves a polished, cohesive look that feels distinctly modern.

The Elongated Pendant. The styling options for the ribbed glass pendant lights are nearly endless. Hang a single pendant for a sleek, focused effect or group them in clusters, choosing from three distinct sizes to suit your vision.
